St. Heliers Guest House is in a great location for fun things to do for children. We have the beach just across the road and a great kids play park just along the promenade. You can take a stroll into Douglas Town Centre or ride on the horse drawn Tram. These are just some of the chilld friendly attractions;
The Dragon’s Castle adventure play area gives plenty of opportunities for youngsters to let off steam under the watchful eye of their parents. Open everyday including bank holidays and school holidays. The children’s play area has its own seating, cloakroom, toilets and baby-changing facilities as well as staff on hand.
The Broadway cinema presents an entertaining mix of family viewing and the latest blockbusters, with matinees for children each weekend and during school holidays as well as nightly movies.
Noble’s Park is a beautiful and well maintained park, set between Douglas and Onchan with children play areas, bowling green, skate park and much more. The younger children’s play area has a large selection of modern play equipment designed for younger children. The area is completely enclosed making it a safe place to play.
There are great museums and discovery centre all around the Island. Manx Museum, the Grove, the House of Manannan, Laxey Wheel, Rushen Abbey, and Castle Rushen . Open daily, 10am to 5pm (Manx Museum closed Sundays).
These all provide Children’s Discovery Trails -These are fun trails for children from 5 to 11 years old, involving answering questions and completing small activities. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
So make it St.Heliers for your holiday. Children 12 years and under are 50% the adult Tariff (when sharing) and infants and babies under 2 years are just £4 a day.
